(UPDATED) Pacamara Boutique Roasters

Decided to pop by Pacamara since it has been so long since i went to Thomson to have a cuppa! Was rather shock to see that they had reduced the previously build-on shelves that sells kinds of barista's equip and their own roasted coffee beans to just 2 rows and added a long bench table with chairs.

Then again, you must be wondering where would they place their roasted coffee beans for sale right? Apparently, it is just beside the cake displayed station, just beside the barista work area! They have reduced the number of coffee beans displayed, so hurry get it before its all gone!

Then again, not only is there a mini change in the interior design, there is a change in the menu too.

We ordered 2 Ice white (Elixir), 2 main course and one sides for dinner. Let's talk about the Ice white.
Ice White, Elixir ($5.50)

- Smooth, it isnt that bitter as compared to the previous one i had which was Candy Cane, i guess.
- Elixir has the flavour of pineapple, berries and Jasmine.
- So yes, there was a floral, fruity and tingly sweet taste lingering around our taste buds.

Moving on to the sides, we ordered Sweet Potato fries ($8).
- Never once did it ever fail us!
- Its crispy in every bite, not soggy. I kinda hate the fact that some of the fries were in the soggy state so i'm glad Paca did their fries right!
- There is this sprinkle of sour plum powder. Enhances the overall flavour of the fries.

Main course,

Crab Meat Linguine ($18) - Linguine pasta, crab rump, tomtao base, arugula
- Strong crab meat flavour with the tomato base. Makes you keep wanting to have more. I couldnt stop - one bite after another.
- Portion wasnt really big nor filling for me.
- it would be better if the linguine texture could have been a little bit more softer as compared to the one i had.

Salmon & Kale ($22.50) - Sou vide salmon steak, kale, pomegranate, cranberry vinaigrette, hazelnuts, cauliflower puree, 62 degree free range sous vide egg
- Gotta admit, pretty plating for the food.
- Poached egg on the side.
- Salmon wasnt too oily, baked just fine as it is!
- The salmon skin was crispy and the meat was soft and tender!
- Have it with the sauce and the vegetable, Good combination of crunchy

Maybe one day i will head down to try their steak!
