Went to this hipster cafe a few weeks back. Well, tell you what, don't ever use your eyes to look at things, especially when it comes to food and coffee. Let the taste bud tells you how to feel.

The moment i went into this cafe, it was already bustling with people. That moment, i thought maybe it's really that good. Well, i was partly wrong.

You see, the interior design of the cafe isn't that bad right? You can seat around the bar area and it was more of a shared seating arrangement. However, it was so crowded that there was barely even enough space to move around and limited seats so we decided to sit outside where its more spacious while bracing the hot sun.

Decided to order a few mains and coffee.
Pan seared sea bass ($22). Pan seared sea bass with a pickled lemon and cherry tomato, served on a bed of creamy leek and potato. Shimeiji mushrooms and sugar beans. I pretty liked this dish because the pan seared is really creamy. Liked how the fish tasted fresh and soft, not too oily not too burnt.

Another main was this Japanese curry rice ($19).
Braised beef short- rib, carrots and deep fried broccoli served with Japanese curry and rice. Its spicy yet salty. Not the usual mild sweet Japanese curry rice. I had to keep drinking water to cleanse the saltiness away. The beef short- rib and the carrots were juicy, tender and soft.

Moving on to the coffee, i wasn't very please with it. It kinda disappoint me. Maybe because it was too busy so it wasn't their normal standard. Ordered a flat white ($5.5) and a ice latte ($7)

Flat white,
Basically it wasnt very smooth - no fluent smooth while going down the throat.

Ice latte,
I didn't took a shot of the ice latte. However, it was a VERY VERY diluted coffee. I could taste more of the water and the milk rather than the milk and espresso. This cup of latte doesn't even worth it's price. I could get a better tasting latte somewhere for less than $7.

Overall, i find that this cafe is seriously over-priced for their desserts, cakes and coffee. But you could go and try out their menus for brunch and dinner maybe?
