Nuevo Cafe

Hidden gem located at Paya Lebar and am dying to tell you what is so good about this place!

You could say its quite spacious when there it is not the peak period however, not much seats for catering large group of people (in my opinion). They had an open kitchen concept and you could walk down to have a tour at the kitchen!

So we had,
Yakiniku beef striploin with sous vide egg (SGD$8.50),
Tenderly well done beef. The flavour of the sauce goes really well with the thinly sliced beef! Try eating it together (sliced beef sauce, rice, running yolk). It it amazing!

Salmon Eggs Benedicts,
Such a hearty breakfast. Poached egg hollandaise sauce is mild but sweet. Smoked salmon is really well done - It isnt too salty. Roasted mushroom has this char grill taste, well marinated that brings out the smoky grill flavour together with the grounded pepper.

Salmon Pesto Linguine,
I had never ever finish my pasta at any cafe before, this is so far the BEST pasta i had in ANY cafe!
Air-fry salmon, to me, its kinda a little bit too dry. But its soft!
Pesto linguine, i was worried there isn't any taste for the pesto and oily. But to my surprise, it feels like an addiction. One mouth after another. I just couldn't stop!
"WOW. This dish is it!!" was what i tell myself one mouth after another.
Together with the salmon and linguine, it feels like you're at the beach, listening to the ocean waves.

As for desserts,
Potato Mochi (SGD$8 for 3 potato mochi),
We were pretty worried it would be like FRIED potato mochi because we couldn't think of anything else it could have been made. Sorry poor imagination but that isn't the point. Teriyaki sauce topped on the soft crunchy potato mochi, PERFECT COMBINATION. The cheese, not that it will stretch when bite but it mixes so well with the dish. Enhancing the overall flavour!! Highly recommending this if you were to go down to this hidden gem!

Before i end this,
Let me also introduce this lovely drink.
Houjicha latte,
Afraid that the houjicha would overwhelm the entire coffee taste, but it really really blends really well with the coffee. Mild armotic flavour and the aftertaste of the coffee isn't bad. Milky aftertaste i would say?

Head down over to try! Not an everyday kind of thing that you're able to find an afforable cafe that has prices range below SGD$20! *smirks*
